no spark...need help 82 250

i have an 82 250 with a 351....i turned it off the other day and when i went to restart it, it wouldnt....turns out theres no spark.

i repaced the coil and the control module...no luck...

i put a spark plug right on the coil wire and still no spark so i dont think its the distributor...unless this shouldnt work anyway...i know nothing....electricity is not my bag...

any suggestions would be a big help

Brad

Do you have a test light or multimeter?

If so, attach it to the + terminal of the coil and turn the key on .

Post if you have power there or not.

Next it could be the pickup inside the distributor

or

a broken wire in the ignition system somewhere.

There is a process of elimination that has to be done.
