Electric fans

I have a 98 150 w 4.2 and was considering replacing belt fan w dual electric. Anyone had any exp. switching to elec.?

i have a 97 f150 4.6 i replaced with an electric fan from summit racing. of all my mods to my truck this made the most difference. i gained about 4 miles a gallon.this replacement was a single fan and made noticeable horsepower in my truck.

Electric fans

Do you idle a lot? Electric fan should save some gas at idle
since the engine can run slower. 4 MPG is a lot. It should also gain a few hp at higher RPMs.

the fan i used cost 200 out of summit racing and took me around two hours total to install. it was a flex a lite fan and installation was easy to moderate
