abs light stays on

abs light stays on
i replaced the front brake pads and rotors on a 2004 supercrew f-150,after starting the truck the light stayed on (abs light). i disconnected the battery for 5 minutes.and it came back on does anybody have afix for this .thanks

There is a ABS sensor at each front wheel, check to see if you damaged a wire or hit the sensor some how, or just knocked it out of position.
I haven't done any brake work on my truck yet so I don't exactly know where the sensor is located.

Your rotors may not be compatible with your ABS system. This is not the first I have heard of non Ford rotors causing your same symptom.
I have also seen that even though auto stores have a certain partslisted as compatible ( ie. brake pads) they are not even close when compared to the original set. Take off a rotor and compare it to the original. You may find that the ABS part is not exactly in the same place.
