So the last couple of times i have parked my 02 f350 crew on a hill front end up high the truck rolls in reverse while its in park. The tranny seems to work fine, never has been really tight but shifts fine in all gears including reverse. Is my tranny about to puke? can i fix this at home any suggestions. I hopefully described it right if not let me try it again... I drive up a shallow hill forwards i stop the truck, put the truck in park (auto tranny) get out, and the truck slowly rolls backwards i jump back in hit the brakes put the e brake on and it is now stopped... any ideas???? thanks in advance
Every time whether it is on flat ground or not, in any auto especially my PSD this what I do.
1) Stop
2) Put Trans in N with stopping brake applied
3) Set P Brake with stopping brake applied
4) Let off stopping brake to let P Brake settle
5) Put trans in P
I don't like to let the weight of my truck to set up against the P setting in my Auto trans. Just me.
