Spindle nut kits?

Well,

I'm getting ready to do the CPP disc brake kit, and I realize I may have given away my spindle hardware when I donated the drum brake goodies some time ago. Does anyone know of a kit that contains the spindle nut, cotter pins, washers and the nut retainers? The usual F-100 places don't seem to carry them, anyone with a Joblot catalog care to do a lookup for me? Any other sources? Thanks for the help!

NAPA carries a bunch of small stuff like that. Have you tried them?

Bummer, I hate this, I have also given away or scraped parts that I later needed a couple times it is frustrating.

I think you are going to have to build your own kit. I get a lot of grade 8 bolts at Tractor Supply, perhaps there or some place like that you can find what you need.

Whet year spindles are you using? Some of the auto parts houses don't have older truck books, I can research the numbers and tell for what years they cover.

Hi Bill, and thanks for the offer!

I am using the stock 55 F-100 spindles.

Cotter Pin: 1/8" x 1 3/4" -length

354573-S Castle (Spindle) Nut 3/4"-16 .. 1948/66 F1/F100

B-1195 Washer 1948/56 F1/F100; 1957/66 F350 .. (used on the front spindle)-use with single rear wheels. (this is the heavy round washer with tab to fit in spindle groove). Note, the B in the part number is 1932 Ford, so this washer prolly fits a lot of 30's/40's Ford cars.

B5A-1131-A Dust Cap .. 1948/68 F1/F100

Thanks for the help Bill!

Here's a drawing from the midwestearlyford.com website:

The part # for the spindle nut is different, but should be right I think. Of course I could just get a 3/4"-16 castle nut from the local Fastenal store, the slotted washer was my primary concern. The website has both the nuts and washers in stock.
