When I first start my truck (temps around 55F) and go to drive off it screams as if the clutch fan is on for about 100 yrds, then its normal for the rest of the day...any ideas?

With all the talk about straight pipes, no kitty, and/or no muffler I haven't seen anything about a cut out...or did I miss it. Would it offer anything while pulling, say up hill w/8K?
I don't know the info for question #1 but for #2- yes, you would get benefit from straight pipe. You would be removing a lot of backpressure on the vehicle. I think that there was a topic on it awhile ago. My friend did take out his muffler and kitty and it sounds like a jet engine (make sure that is the sound you are looking).
Well for the cost and effort I can get a 3.5" electric cut out and install that as opposed to a whole new exhaust system and the have each on demand I figured.
