Exclamation Responsible Conversation!

We have a great time here!...We all have different ways of expressing our thoughts and have different vinaculars. Just remember that our forum has to be 'Politically Correct'.

The administrators of FTE have establiblished means for addressing and expressing more 'delicate' subjects... Club FTE and PM's!...Please use these resources!

Racial epithets like the "n-word" can quickly earn folks time off the site, and has in this case.

We have become a very fun 'Family'...let's abide by family rules!

FTE Hats and Tee Shirts guidelines
Concerning goodies. Give us at least a month for informal gathers and several months if its a chapter show. PLEASE leave a message if its after hours. We want to be supportive of the chapters, but want a reciprocal relationship and need consideration of the time constraints we deal with in the day-to-day operations. And remind us more than once if possible by calling and keeping the lines of communication open (remember its the squeaky wheel that gets the grease).

This is the policy going forward (except the currently planned events that we've been told about ---- remember, posting isn't telling us so call ASAP if you have something planned):

Informal gatherings:
  • T-shirts will be sold at cost to chapters. FTE stickers, hat pins and other such things we have in inventory will be give-aways. Excess t-shirts from previous runs such as the National rally will be given for free. Requests need to be a minimum of 3 weeks before the get-together. The number of t-shirts sold at cost will be limited to 20. These must not be resold at cost, but instead used as give-aways or sold at full price to fund chapter functions.
Chapter shows (ie, paid events with prizes, a truck/suv show, etc.):
  • We need estimates of the number of people attending. We will put together a budget based on this and supply 100% free goodies up to this budget, and at cost for any amount over the budget. T-shirts must not be resold at cost, but instead used as give-aways or sold at full price to fund chapter functions.

We need these proposals 3 months in advance, so we decide if we need to make arrangements to attend personally and so we can notify vendors so they can attend (and in reality vendors need much more than 3 months).
*The policy concerning t-shirt pricing is due to the expense involved in producing t-shirts.

The fire you kindle for you enemy often burns you more than him.

I am not sure if this still happens, but will look into it...Please give your ideas on how a program like this, can help promote chapter participation.

I apologize for not being my normal posting self the past few weeks, but a lot has been going on...Some has to do with family, and some has to do with getting better ideas on trying to help formulate the very best chapter in FTE.

Behind The Scene !

You may not see me posting as much as usual...part of the reason is that I have been working behind the scenes.

I started a Cafepress to see how this might work. http://www.cafepress.com/wafte
Give a look and pm me with suggestons.

I am also working with Ken to get a 'Priivate' Chapter website going. FTE offers this to all willing, and I am going to take advantage...This site will be for registered members of our chapter 'Only'...Not sure what the guidelines are, but will find out.

Would like to thank all for making our chapter the best....If it weren't for you, I would not spend the time trying to make things happen like I do.

Our Chapter Site

Our Chapter site is washingtonchapter.ford-trucks.com .

This is just an FYI right now. Got the email from Ken today, but haven't started working on it yet...Please give me some input on what you would like the site to have, and how it should appear. This will give me some direction on page design.

That site, http://www.washingtonchapter.ford-trucks.com/ landed on the regular FTE home page, set up is in progress...

Design? Why, my truck, xdozer and homemade flatbed, with the dogs, of course!

You may not have this information yet... Since this will be a private site for WA members (meaning residents) only, were the plans for this new webpage to be different and with bonus features than our 'normal' FTE Washington forum section? For the Webpage it'd be good to have the normal features like vB code to allow [quotes] and [images] and [url] links, etc. but I suppose that is taken for granted.

Would you post or link "Not sure what the guidelines are..." when you get them so we know what the parameters are? {I'll presume that the site setup, rules and guidelines are identical as the main FTE forum, or "looser" like the Club FTE section, but just private for WA members only.}

The site is "dot net", not "dot com". That's why you're landing on FTE's home page.
