Tuffy center console
they look real good and durable i'd say pull out the tapemesure and see if you can live with it they say one will fit a full size F150/Bronco so go for it.
I like the overhead console to trying to deside if it will fit but that $500.00 for both a bit steep but may be worth it.
they got a nice under hood box to for just a few tools that looks goodt to anywho just my thoughts on it i'd do it if you can live with the space doesnt look like transfer case lever is a problem at all
do to the fact they drop in the front.

I have the Tuffy Security Series II Console (part #016) in our 96 Bronco and there is no interference w/the transfer case lever or back seat.
One bolt had to be swapped out because it was too long and bottomed out on the crossmember (tranny).
There is a few inches (about 2.5") clearance between the bucket seat sides and the console. The console's rear is positioned in line with the back of the seats' bottom rail.
It is well made and the black powdercoating has held up very well over the past 5 years.
If you want, I can take a pic later and post it in my gallery to show you the positioning relative to the transfer case lever and front seats.
AIM: Great info and I appreciate your taking the time and trouble to post the pix in your gallery. I can't leave anything alone, it seems, and my attention has now been drawn to the console. It's not entirely my fault, I guess..... after pulling my engine for a rebuild, the replacement cam went on a looooonnnnggggg backorder from the factory. Since I'd painted the block, heads, etc. and the cam became the hold up, I guess I got bored and went looking for other projects. I've found them! I've just pulled the front seats and installed a Flex-A-Lite Mojave heater under the driver's side (making it necessary to raise the seat 1.5" to clear it). No problem...... was in the salvage yard and happened across a very nice pair of '96 Escort bucket seats, and since my '85 didn't have headrests or different recline positions and they were the perfect dimensions (imagine that..... an Escort of all cars!) and the price was a steal..... Here I go! I can't very well put in replacement seats (with a slight mod to clear my new auxiliary heater) without doing something to the console, can I!!!???? The Tuffy looks great. Thanks again!
It was no prob. to snap the pics, but I wish I had a tape measure in place to show the exact measurements. Anyhowz, since you have the seats raised, you may find it nec. to have a pillow on the tuffy console (even tho it has a nice padded top) to rest your arm on. I'm over 6ft tall and have a 3in pillow on mine for long drives.
When drilling through the floorboard, slice the carpet or mat (We have the vinyl/rubber floor mat) in an X pattern to avoid carpting pulls and even insulation pulls in the mat; then drill. We placed the console where I thought it would be best situated and then checked underneath to avoid the fuel pump/wiring harnesses, etc; then checked the transfer case lever for clearance, which is not a real problem due to it's short "throw". Mary Kate should ck her tranny shifter's throw as well.
As I stated prev. the cross member may interfere w/one bolt.

Hwy Apostle,
There is a post on using an EXPY overhead console in this forum.
Also there are a number of other options other than the Tuffy model which needs a roll bar to mount (rear):
EB overhead console (I believe 94 to 96)
Infinity's models (could be marked down now due to discontinued mfg>):

Thanks again. Don't know if this will work until I see the console, but I'm sort of hoping to redrill the Tuffy in the location of the factory floor pan holes. If I can't, then I'm sure I'll be able to drill new holes in the floor. I had previously installed a false 3/4" plywood floor in my factory console, which I carpeted and used to screw down an organizer tray. I figure I'd do the same with the Tuffy, which would also help with installing a CB or CD changer. The seats are only going to be raised about 1" to 1.5", as I just need the clearance for the extra heater installed under the driver's seat. Since the factory console is already low, if the Tuffy is even an inch or so taller I won't be losing much. Based on the pictures and your feedback, I'm pretty certain it will fit with no issues.

Thanks! I'd seen that site before. It's tempting to do something like that (I'm wondering where he purchased that left-handed CD player, though! LOL)
I'm not really sure that I couldn't do it without welding. Our local HVAC sheet metal shop can lay claim to more parts on my truck, from the filler panel between the rear bumper and tailgate to the electric fan mounting adapter to the various body patch panels I've needed cut. I could probably have them build one fairly easily from heavy gauge metal and upholster over it. Hmmmmmm. A bolt-in with ready made locks, etc. and the powder-coat finish is tempting, though.
I haven't checked the clearance for folding up the back seat yet. (I removed the back seat months ago and I'm not sure I can remember how it goes back in.)
I drilled the holes no problem. When I went under to put the bolts on only one bolt was easily reached. One bolt cameout under the muffler heat shield thing. So I just broke off a big rusted chunk of the shield.
The only problem I had was the single forward bolt came out dirrectly on top of the t-case. There is about one inch of clearance between the cab body and the t-case. I tried but I couldn't get both the washer and nut on the bolt at the same time. Even if I could I wouldn't have been able to get a socket in to turn it. So for now I left the front bolt undone.
Try a length of all-thread rod - drop it down through the console and slip a nut on the rod above the t case. if it is too close to the t case, then just use the all-thread (or a threaded spacer)and slip a nut and appropraiate number of flat washers between the console's bottom and the floorboard carpet or mat.
I have to look underneath soon to see where mine had that same problem (thought it was the x-member). Too much rain here + my knee is shot.
Thanks,
Anthony
