That looks like a great truck, To me in this part of the world the price isn't bad. I paid about half of that for a basket case, took two trailer loads to get it all home. Looks like you'l have ten times the start compared to mine
I'm a nice guy, just ask anyone here.
Here's what I'll do for you, you buy the Truck, deliver it to my house. I'll drive it for a few years while I work on my Panel. When I've had enough time to do a proper evaluation I will return the Truck and provide my considered opinion.
Now is that a deal or what?
I've bought, worked on, and resold a lot of old iron. And that is what I look for. For that price how much ta put into it ta have It done right. And have a truck worth what ya got into It or more. Ya you gonna do Ok.
Looks like a pretty solid old truck but IMHO the price you pay for it should depend somewhat on what you plan to do with it. If you want an original truck the price is about right but if you plan to rod it the price might be a little high.
I'm with Vern. What are your plans for the truck? How much can you afford to spend on the completed product? If you can afford it, buy the best truck you can find. The more of a basket case you bring home, the less chance that you will finish it. It looks good on the outside. Can you see evidence of new parts or renovations? Have you checked on this sites "For Sale" section? Good luck, Jag

This is the second selfless act I have seen in as many days. Firts our good man Himmelgerg trying to save me from myself, and now our very own crusty ol' Dick offering years of his time to thouroughly evaluate a truck for another...
....I.... ....I..er...... .....um....I..just....
...well, I just don......
........I'm sorry, I can't talk right now............
We all watched a stock truck bid up to $10,100 last week on EBay. It looked to be nicely done and correct. So, does that mean the market is about 10-11K for nice finished stock trucks? If so, you can save a lot a money and grief by buying one done. Part of the reason for the soft price is the standard tranny in my humble opinion. Jag
