A/C compressor noise
I have a 94 F150 w/ 302 and the compressor is making a "grinding" sound when I first start the truck. Is there a bearing in the pulley/clutch that can be replaced or do you have to swap out the entire compressor?

I went ahead and removed it. A piece of cake. Remove on small bolt that holds the clutch cover on and a snap ring holds the assembly on the shaft. It does have a replacement bearing, but with a 180,000 miles on it, I am going to replace the assembly. The bearing was $32.00 and then pulley/clutch assembly was $87.00.
