Center console watertight?

Center console watertight?
I noticed the previous owner of my '99 F-250 drilled two holes in the bottom of the center console between the captain's chairs. I got to thinking maybe he was using it as a cooler and the holes were to let the water drain out as ice melted, but I noticed there is a seam where the console liner was put together. Does anyone know if the seam is watertight and it will work as a cooler?

I place a small Igloo cooler in mine when I want to use it as a cooler. It is six pack size. I bed a soft six-pack size cooler would work better.
The salesman said it was water tight, but I trusted him about as far as I could throw the young punk.
