Okay, here we go... I have the old '86 almost back up on it's feet, but I need a tranny. It has an AOD(kind of...only has 1st gear) with the 302(of course). I need to know if I can get a C6 from a truck with a 351w or I6 of the same transfer case generation to bolt up to my transfer case. If not, what are my options t/case-wise? I can always get another AOD, but I'd rather have the C6 as that's what the old '83 had and never gave me any trouble at all.
