Custom audio enclosures?
Anyone have any cool ideas for custom sub enclosures? I have two high excursion 8" subs that I want to put in a console. Since I removed the bench there's a ton of room in the thing now. I haven't fooled with audio in a long time and google isn't donating much to the think tank at the moment so I figured I'd see what any of you guys had to say.

How handy are you? You could build yourself a custom console from wood, and cover it with whatever upholstery you like, or finish out the wood nicely.
If it were me, I'd make a custom console out of sheet steel or aluminum, but I work with metal a lot, and already have a lot of the specialized tools.

I'm handy enough to build from wood, I just don't really have any ideas of what I want it to look like. I would do metal, but accoustically it just sucks. So, it will most likely be MDF wrapped in vinyl. I want to incorporate cup holders and some sort of hard top to write checks/notes on and stuff. Quite similar to a newer model, but with a custom flair.
