VB install question
Do u remove the old metal plate that is in there before putting the new trans go plate on? Form guzzles intructions you dont i just want to make sure it isnt meant to be a given.

I installed my VB a few weeks ago and I wondered the same thing. It is a black looking plate. I believe it is a gasket to seal the VM to the tranny when u tighten the bolts up. U just pulled the little screen out put in the BTS transgo plate then the little screen again and finished the job. It seems to be shifting and running fine Hope this helps.. Jeff

Thank you I just finished installing it. When I shift it into drive or reverse it kinda shifts in rough. Its hard to explain the selector goes in fine but you can feel it shift into the gear which I never could before is this normal? The fluid level is good i used mercon no leaks. their is also sorta a surging sound coming from the transmision area while in park at idle. No grinding sounds. IS this normal I have not driven it yet im affraid to.

Are you sure everthing is torqued correctly? And whith your foot on the brake move through all of the gears pausing at each one for about 15 seconds to make sure all of the air is worked out of the VB.
