skidoo troubles

skidoo troubles
well it goes something like this, I was riding my skidoo when all of a sudden I heard a big bang followed by a loud clunk. I pulled on the rope to see if i could start it, and it broke. after i got it towed in to the garage, i took it apart and found that the idiot that rebuilt the motor, didn't put locktight on the one intake bolt and it and the washer went through both pistons. now, if any one has a pair of pistons that i could get a hold of for a yamaha 338 I will be more than glad to buy them off of you.

I don`t have any parts so I suggest you check the Western Producer and the Star Phoenix.
There was someone buying old machines in or around Aberdeen.
If anyone wants to offer parts please use PM`s or emails.

did it get rebuilt at a shop or in a garage. If a shop wouldnt it be warrantied by the place that did it

no, an older guy rebult it in his home garage and didn't use locktight on the intake bolts

awww tht sucks man, sorry to hear about it. I wish i could help you out, but to be honest i was 10 years old the last time i was on a skiidoo

it is a 75' or 76', but for that year it is not bad when it comes to speed or fuel mileage.
