First vehicle I owned was the 'Christmas Tree', a 1958 with light green cab and red box. Bought it at a farm auction for $350. Someone had swapped in a 250 inline-6 out of a Maverick in place of the 223! Drove it into the ground, until the steering box was so loose that driving on gravel roads was pretty much a death sentence.
I bought my next 57-60 from a high-school teacher after I drooled over it for several years. It is a 1960 F-100 shortbed styleside with a '59 hood and grille. I have posted pictures of this one in my gallery. It has served me well for the past six years, I've put over 45,000 miles on it! This truck has made 10 trips from Nevada to Michigan, and recently moved my wife and I from Nevada to New York pulling a 6X10 enclosed trailer! I have big plans for this one eventually, with my performance goal being to outperform the latest generation of SVT Lightning pickups. The toughest spec to beat will be the 140 mph top speed
It has run a 15.6 quarter mile.My next find was a '59 F250 4WD that I spent a whopping $50 on! All that it took to get it running was cleaning out the gas tank and flushing all the fluids. (Unfortunately the brakes went out, so the only way to stop it was to find a conveniently placed hay bale to run into!) Those 8X19.5 wheels were something else. When I parked it next to my F-100, the wood flatbed was at the same height as the top of my F-100 bed! When someone offered me $1000 for it, I couldn't refuse, and it went on down the road.
From the proceeds of the '59, I purchased a 1960 F-100 4WD with GREAT cab corners and OK fenders on it. My current plan is to use the cab from this truck, the bed from the '58, and swap them onto the 60' 2WD. I've put together a gallery of photos for this one as well.

I enjoyed your gallery! That is a neat the list of Ford trucks and the 4X4 is an extra special one.
