do i disconnect the emergency brake lines from a d70u and a 9inch?
I'm swapping it into my bronco this weekend and I don't want to just cut the lines, what am I missing? I mean, I could probably cut the lines on the donor truck, but I need to disconnect them properly from the 9inch so they can be used again.

You have to take the drums off and pop them off the parking brake arm. It's easy to do - whenever I do drum brakes, it always pops off without me noticing and then I have to tear it all apart again to put it back on.
