First thing I would suggest is buying a pre-fab stereo wiring harness to fit your stereo to your truck. You should be able to find at least the harness that matches your truck, then take the harness off your stereo, follow the general guidelines and solder and seal the wires. All you have to do then is plug and play. If you don't want to do that, or if you've already taken apart the wires to the harness, then you should get a multimeter and start testing wires. First, find the constant hot wire and label it. Next, find the factory ground. Then find the accessory. From there, you have to experiment with the speaker wires to find out which wires are which. Set the balance and fader to left front on the stereo, then put wires together until your left front comes on - solder away - and so on until you've got it in. If you lived down the street from me, I'd come down and install it for a nominal fee - probably hand-installed 50 of the dang things.
