Radiator Reclocation

I have a 1990 F-150 with a 302. The radiator sits right behind the A/C condensor. I like to go mudding every once and awhile. The radiator gets muddy and is very difficult to clean because of its location. Is there anyway to move stuff around/take stuff out so its not so darn hard to keep my truck from over heating?

Here is a tip. Spray your radiator and as much as you can get on the AC condensor with Simple Green. Let dry, do not remove.

Then after you've been mudding, spray the radiator ect. with normal hose water, cleaning. A friend of mine does this all the time, spraying his rims, undercarriage ect with Simple Green. For some reason, mud and dirt wash off much easier. Simple Green will remove any wax, so you'll have to re-wax any chrome or painted areas. However, you don't have to worry about this on a radiator area.

Also, try blocking your radiator area with a common screen mesh. This will allow air in, but keep the mud splatter to a minimum.

Good luck Ed
