I'm not an expert....but I'm pretty sure there is no difference in "year-to-year" when comparing the same model. I believe even a shortbed is the same width as a long or standard bed. Definite difference in a standard bed vs a flareside bed though.
I say this because most places you shop for your cover will ask for all the info of your truck...."ie" year, model, reg or ext cab, standard bed or short bed and none have asked for bed width.
