[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Oct-02 AT 11:45 AM (EST)]Hey has anyone ever done this and are there any benefits? The reason I ask is for simplicity. Thanks
Keep what ya got man. It aint worth the time or money you'll spend. Injection is much better than carbs. The computer does all the thinking and adjusting for ya. But if you got your mind set on a carb I'm sure somebody with a carb will be more than happy to swap systems with ya.
Oh, Also, I dont know what that would do to your computer. If it doesnt see the fuel system it might freak out. You might need to get one from an older Bronco.
The 1980-1986 F series and bronco is an easy swap.
I did this swap with my '86 F-150 4x2.
All you need to do is get the module-to-distributor
harness, distributor, and intake. Pull out all
the EFI components ... they are all connected to one
conglomerate of wires. Put in a duraspark distributor,
the harness from dist to module, and the carbureted
intake.
You dont mention the year but remember if you have the E4OD trans it needs that EFI to operate correctly. I was going to do a built 5.0 HO roller motor swap until I found out that it will not work with the E4OD. (Yes i know you can spend 750-1000 to swap to mass air)
