which exhaust?

I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on a new 4" exhaust. I want something that sounds deep and loud on my 04 6.0 psd. thanks

I personally have the 3.5"dp to 4" Magnaflow straight piped. Install was quite easy and quality is good. MBRP , from what I hear, is probably the best to install and quality is excellent. Call Jeremy at lidiesel.com for prices. He'll fix you right up.

by straight pipe you mean bypassing the catalytic convertor or turbo back and do you have the single or the dual pipe

Straight pipe, no cat no muffler, 3.5" down pipe swedged to a 4" pipe that runs all the way to the tip. Sounds great when you want it too, but won't wake the neighbors unless you want it too.

I may be asking a stupid question but this is my first diesel and would that not be bad when you go for an inspection?

I have straight piped the original exhaust and it sounds great and cost less than $80.00. As far as inspections go, if you have them then yes you need the cat. You can buy an AFE cat delete pipe that gets bolted in where the original cat is. Then prior to inspections or dealership work it can be put back in. my .02 worth.

Donnie, none of the inspection have never given myself or any other local customers any issues about not having the catalytic converter in our area. If you were to ever run into an issue with it, let me know, and I can provide you with some info on places of whom I'm sure will still pass the inspection.

How does the tone of the MBRP compare to the Silverline, and are there any pros or cons between the two? I saw this video from another post, and it sounds cool. I'm still a good ways off from being able to do an exhaust upgrade, but I'm already making a list of "wants" and would like opinions.

Thanks Matt, that makes my decision a bit easier cause I was wanting to go with a cat delete but not sure of that issue. thanks
