Finally getting to work a bit on my '64 Ranchero, and have a question.
The panel that makes up the bed floor at the front, what years are they interchangeable with? Mine was drilled full of holes at one point, and I'd like to find one that isn't so "holey".
Don't have a car parts book handy, but I do know that 1960/63 Falcon station wagon floors are the same as the 1960/63 Ranchero. Likewise 1964/65 Rancheros/wagons. The 1966 Falcon Ranchero, and the 1967 thru 1972 Fairlane/Torino Ranchero's used the same floors as the station wagons. The floors are the same from the firewalls back. If you remove the floor of the bed, you'll see rear seat foot wells and on some, spare tire wells.
Same is true for 1957/59 Ranchero's being the same as wagons.
One reason that all the Ranchero's rust so bad, is water gets into the rear seat footwells and spare tire wells and has no place to go.
Yeah, the rear area on mine is rusted. The holes were drilled because at one time the P.O. had installed A/C and had the components mounted out under the bed panel. So looks like I may have to find a '64-'65 to get the panel from.
