I know it's been addressed several times on rear main and oil pan seal replacement for I6 and small block v8's. But has anyone replaced these on a 460? Just wondering if it is a 2 or 1 piece seal and how difficult it is to replace.
Also how hard is it to replace the oil pan gasket? Is the oil pan the same as the 351/302? Can the pan be unbolted and lowered just enough to replace the gasket?
I'm about to tackle this project but just want to know what I'm in for. I don't want to get half way through this project just to find that the engine needs to be pulled or something like that...
I'll chim in as I want to know the same thing. Just bought my youngest son a 93 F250 extcab 4X4 with a 7.5l 460. The pan and front trans seal is leaking. Some advice would be appreciated.
