EGR pressure sensor

I changed the EGR valve on my 98 Expedition 5.4L only to discover that the EGR pressure sensor was faulty. The new sensor went out in a month or so. It was a cheap $70 part from O'Reillys. I replaced it with a Ford OEM part. Is there something that might cause the sensor to fail or was it likely just a cheap made in China part?
Thanks.

Exhaust gasses are tough on cheap parts, which is why they cost so much. If your part was a no name or house brand, I would expect that to be the problem. The motorcraft should do you well.

How long have you had the new one on? If not long there could be another problem going on, blocking up hose or passege.

House brand lasted 1.5 months. Ford OEM just got put on. It seems fine. I bet it was just cheap parts. Thanks
