5sp to a 4sp
anyone swamp a 5sp mazda F150 tranny for a 4sp F150 tranny? my cousin has the same truck as me exept its 2wd and a 4sp. i recently drove it with my uncle to move out my aunts businese and i was impresed with the granny 1st and reverse and i thought how if i found one for mine so it would be beter offroad with that granny gear. would it bolt to a my borg warner transfer case? i dont know much about them 4sp found in the 87-89 F150 and the F250s. any ideas?

As long as the bell housing is for the 300 I6, 302, or 351W you should have a direct swap. You could even go for the ZF 5-spd from the 351W 3/4 ton. As long as you have a hydralic clutch, which you should, then you are close to plug and go.
