well we made the first attempt in a while to get that old girl back together. After we finished working on my gate, we got to thinking "well we are here lets get to it". So first, we clean up that shop of his. Looks a lot better with a clean floor and more organization of the 56. We then set out to make a list of the new parts to get brake drums/shoes, etc. Also, we got a start on the last of the sandblasting that needs to be done. Those leaf springs sure look prettier now that they arent rusty red. Slap some black paint on there and we will be ready to make a rolling chasis. I cant wait till next weeks session.
One more small step forward, just have to find a bodyshop to paint the pieces.
Chris promises to post some pictures next week so that means more shop clean up.......
We used the rubber insert on the bottom mount and I kept the Ford name plate lettering.
Too bad the handle was missing, we ended up using a t/g from a 96 F250 I used to have and it`s broken.
Coming out next weekend Glen? We`re going on the 56 again.
