another boring sunday afternoon. yup, time to do the engine on the yz 250 this year...going to give it a whirl myself. tear-down wasn't to hard...had to send the cylinder away to winnipeg to get re-nikisal'd. had a scratch in it for some reason. otherwise...its just a waiting process to get it back and then reassemble the bad girl. anyone else here love living on the wild side a little?? have to arrange a off road run this summer...
yamaha, theres yer problem man, need a Honda, they just dont quit....
Can't say ive ever really gotten into hopping up my bike, i was thinking of selling it this summer, but now im not sure, id kinda like to keep it. I've just got an XR200 though, just a trail putter compared to yours. Do you race at all or just trail stuff?

honda??? ...just kidding...yamaha has served me well. thinking about racing this year maybe. but we mostly trail ride and hit the gravel pits for some jumping. wife is just getting into it so we took it pretty easy last season for her... bought her a honda crf150 last summer. been a pretty good little bike. not much to go wrong there. yeah those xr's will run forever...and then some!!
oh yeah, my buddy had a crf 150, got it when they first came out, nice bike. my cousin just picked up a 230 though, and im just laughing bout it. im gonna be real curious too see how that thing holds up. i think if i keep riding, i'll do whatever it takes to keep my 01 goin, awesome trail bike it is, can't complain at all
man, id be great with a poprocket then. learning to ride on my honda's, if i find a hill i can't ride (HA yeah right, no such thing) i can just carry that puppy up!! i just love em because when i get onto a hill that scares me a bit, i know that that bike will just keep climbing, the only weak link is me. nothing stops a fourstroke
2 stroke...4 stroke...its all in the rider, until the 1/2 mile straight stretch, then the 4 stroke wins. i'll run my yz over anything the 4 strokes can...sometimes faster, sometimes slower, sometimes i'll just ramp it...
yeah...the yammies seem to hold their own pretty well. the bike i had before this one, an 86 IT200, that thing will run to the end of the world and back. i've never seen a bike as strong as that one...wish i had it back. set it up for winter riding...
