Could someone tell me how many of these mounts/brackets (pictured below) I should see when I look at my engine?
I see this same part mounted on the right side of the engine towards the back.
However, I was topping off my windsheild washer fluid yesterday and I see a second one of these brackets wedged in on the left side of the engine. It wasn't attached to anything and it seemed like a good bump would have sent it dropping to the pavement.
Primary question is, how many should there be? Second, what is it?
Helo wiredcur,
That looks like one of the engine sling brackets used to install the engine at the factory. Mine has two of them. Check to be sure that the bolts where the bracket is sitting are not broken. Joe

Thanks Joe! Any chance you (or anyone else reading this thread) could post a picture of where the second one is located? Just to reference it?
Well Tim, I wish I could help you with a pic but I have been without a digital cam for about 3 months now. I am sure that someone (one of our loyal posters) will be able to help you with that part. But, One of them should be on the left rear side of the engine and one will be on the right front. Joe
