Rough idle
I'd be interested in the same for the 88 351 EFI.
Mine runs in idle about 500-600rpm. It's the surging that it a problem, and it doesn't happen all the time. Surges more when in drive or reverse. Sometimes in park.

Rough idle
1988 5.8 diconnect idle solenoid.run eng at 1800rpm for 60 sec.put trans in drive rpm should be 575 if not adjust trim screw.reconnect idle connetor.star eng and let stablize for 2min then goose eng and let it return to idle.
