I got my Banks Kit Installed. Runs Great!!!!
-Quick Turbo Assembly
-Trans-Command
-Stage 4 Chip
-4" Exhaust
-Gauges
Plus AFE Stage II Intake
Check out my gallery (Sig) for pics of the install.
I should note, read the directions before doing major work like this. It took a friend and I two days to do something that shoudl have taken one day.
It is an obsolute night and day difference!! Tons of power.
The chip did not work right off that bat, turns out the sticker on my computer was not correct, ended up having to get it reprogrammed. It was good however because I got to see what the Turbo, Exhaust and Intake improvements did versus the chip. I would say it is about 50/50 between the chip and the physical upgrades.
Banks is expensive, but i deffinately recommend. The quality is excellent, good customer service / tech support. The parts all fit perfect, especially the exhaust!
I've had Banks products in the past and loved thier build quality. Best set of headers that I ever saw went on my '95 460. Congrats on your new toys and enjoy.
That squeaky clean new tailpipe tip is now black on the inside I'll bet.
??? Finaly someone with a trans command! yes!! ok so how is it? I dont tow much but would the trans command be a good upgrade to my truck?
I have a transcommand and so far my truck is still running on the stock tranny for almost a hundred k on 37's.. But if I were to do it again....I wouldn't. I am going to get rid of it.... because most custom tuned chips...like DP will do the exact same thing that the transcommand does. So I am going to get rid of my superchip and transcommand and replace with a custom chip.... But it has done good so far...
good luck,
Steven
Hey thanks for the info, as splicing wires to hook up the trans command in not really what I want to do. I was just wondering if it worth it but I think I might just pass on the trans command and try out the Sniper tuner cause I have a laptop and I could do tuning on the road plus it probly does the same thing as the trans comand. thanks

i had a BD trans command on my truck for about 25000 miles and it didnt do a dam thing IMO. i later replaced the trans with an ats unit and their trans command and it works awesome. i can control when i want the T/C to lock and unlock. really helps when towing. i have 40,000 miles in it and still works like new.
Congrats on your new Banks install. I love love mine too but I didn't get the complete kit because I didnt want Banks electronics. DP-Tuner and Banks are lively under my hood and wouldn't change it for nothing.

Yeah I am sure the sniper software can handle that... Actually the banks was on there before I got it..... That is the only banks stuff I got...
good luck,
Steven

I sure like it, it really firms up the shifts. The shifts get harder, the more you push on the peddle so if you are just cruising around it doesnt shift real hard. It works great.

You dont actually have to cut any wires, you simply pull the wires out of the connector and replace with banks wires. It also has a bypass. I could take it off and put it back to stock, no one would be the wiser.
Congrats on the Banks system. I have the Banks exhaust brake, large downtube and exhaust system on mine. The turbo sounds sooooo good I have the passenger side window down just to hear the whine. (but the better half does that to when I do this). Six speed adds to the fun!

Watch out when you are pulling a big load and it goes from 2nd to 3rd. Mine would shift so hard I was afraid of breaking something.
That is my only complaint about the Transcommand.
