Swappable taillights??

Simple question, I have a 81 bro, and while its in the paint shop for a complete job I wanted to know if i can swap tail lights with the 87-91 or 92-96 broncos? I would think they would be the same as mounting goes, since the bronco body really is the same from 80-96 in the quarters. Anyone know? do I need to change wire pigtails or anything?

Thanks...

The only thing that may have changed is the actual lamp sockets at some point in time. My '92 uses 3157's and 3156's whereas I think the older Bronco's used the 1157's and 1156's. This may not pose a problem though since I think both socket types were designed to mount in the same type holes in the tailight assembly. Anyone who knows when Ford switched from the older bayonet type lamps (1156' and 1157's) to the newer wedge-based (3156's and 3157's) may be able to give a clearer answer.
