How do fellow Fordsmen,
I was wondering if this particular issue happens to your truck or if mine is unique-- When I first start my truck in the morning, it rolls forward a bit. It's a 5.4L, automatic tranny and I only notice it after the truck has sat all night. I park in a detached garage on level concrete. Kind of feels like the truck rolls forward as if the tranny has been instantly "pressurized" [then goes away]. Just wondering if any other 5.4L, V10 or Diesel guys have ever experienced this phenominon? Any reasonings or remedies would be obliged. Thanks in advance fellars.
I also have this issue, 03 with v-10 figured it would have burned up by now. My 01 did not do this but my 03 has from new, even after the shift kit it now has 60,000 on it.
The trans could be taking up the tension on the output, but it shouldn't. I know high line pressure will do that when you put the trans in gear. I would suspect that your valvebody has some issue.
Thanks for the replies. Just wondering if any of you have asked the Ford garage about this before or if I need to. My extended warranty is up by years end and would like it taken care of if this could lead to further probs. Got 78k on her now and would like to think the powertrain is still young. Maybe some of the Veterans here will shine further light (or links) on the topic. Thanks BJ
