White smoke!!
I would like to say hello to everyone on this forum!! I recently purchased a 2005 f250 fx4 with 68,000 miles. I brought the truck to a local dealer and had all the fluids changed and the truck checked out from bumper to bumper. It started running a little rough when I would start it after it would sit for a week or so but it didn't smoke. I thought it was just a cold natured motor because it would idle rough for sometimes as little as 10 seconds and no more than 1 minute, and then it would clear up and run like a champ. The other night I started it and it was running rough, but this time white smoke was pouring out of the exhaust. It did clear up after a minute, but I need to learn what is causing this. I would appreciate any info.

White smoke is often indicative of an air leak into the fuel system. I'm not sure if that would be the case on the 6.0 but it was in the older Diesels. Perhaps the fuel filter is leaking a bit, since it was probably just changed?
