does anybody know what the shift points are suppose to be for a 93 f-150 302 w/ an e40d. the stock one burned up at 131000, pump failure. so i had a jasper e40d put in, but the shift points and shift style are different than the oem tranny. it doesn't shift from 1st to 2nd until after 10mph no matter what the throttle is doing, is that right? the shift from 2nd to 3rd is ok at different throttle positions but it is a 2-4 second shift with pause in it, is that right? i drive fairly slow, don't drive fast unless needed. it shifts into overdrive at around 50, is that right? but i usually drive from around 40 to 50 around town, and i have to make it shift into overdrive at those speeds it won't do it on its own, is that right? if i don't make it shift into overdrive at 40 it will stay in 3rd for quite a while before finally shifting, a lot of wasted rpm's for nothing. also the truck has a rough idle while tranny is engaged, take it out of gear and it runs smooth, the stock tranny didn't do this. the jasper tranny has about 600 miles on it now. let me know all you can so i can determine if i need to take it back in for the shift points to be adjusted. another question. are you able to adjust the shift points on the e40d and if so how? thanks.
thanks guys. drive fairly slow too. if gas was a dollar again maybe i would drive like i was 16 again. if anybody has any other input let me know. thanks.
