yes...many people have done the 05-06 conversion oonto a 99-04...they actually make a conversion for the front grille also...i might be wrong but i think there is something you have to do...very small .... for the headlights to work...someone will chime in
Yes, if you just want to do the headlamp swap you can cut the header panel using a spiral cutting bit on a dremel to fit the 05-07 headlamps.
If you want to do the entire front end conversion (grille and bumper) then you can just get the 05-07 header panel to make the lights a easy bolt on w/o any cutting.
If you want/need more info on cutting the header panel, drop me an email:
Ok, thanks guy's. I just put the (Harley/Outlaw) black headlight assembly in my 06 and was just wondering if they would fit my buddies 04. Thanks again.
i just picked up my first ford psd 350 drw 2001----been driving gm's forever.
anyway...gotta say i love this truck.
but since we are on the subject--the previous owner did the late model headlite conversion on this truck. did a nice clean job. but i stopped by the parts store today to pick up the sylvania "blue" bulbs to replace the stock yellow signal bulbs. look great...had them in my gmc.
i cannot figure out how to replace the freegin things. i've laid on the cold **** ground and reached up. i've stood above and reached down. pulled those top two screws and tried to wiggle the entire assy out w/ no luck.
Yup, what DCSPECIAL said. Two bolts on top and two on the bottom. I replaced both right and left headlight assembly and bulbs in 20 min. w/out removing the grille and w/out a scratch.
a-rod the park lights will plug in, the headlights won't. They take a different socket to fit the 9008 bulb instead of the 9007 that the older trucks used.
Yeah, I use a Heavy Duty wiring harness from dfuser to juice the headlamps. It's plug and play with the current factory wiring, includes two relays since you pull the juice directly from the battery.
