compass died

Hello All,

I have a 2002 Ford Expedition and totally love it, but the compass in the overhead console has never worked. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I pressed the button and held for several seconds and no lights come on. Any suggestions?

take the console down and check to see if the compass was ever wired. should be a harness running directly to the compass and trip monitor.

how do you remove the the overhead compass?

Have you followed the recalibration procedure in the owners mamual? You need to first do that before you start disassembling anything.
