85 302 EFI idle
Is there an idle adjustment for the EFI? My truck high idles all the time, which made me think a sensor was bad but when I pulled the code reader out it didn't find anything. This started happening after I replaced all the leaky gaskets from the heads on up. The previous owner of the truck made a lot of shortcuts to get around things that were broke, so I wouldn't be surprised if he adjusted the idle to compecate for the bad manifold gaskets.

Get it running, and unplug the Idle air control valve. The truck should slow down and die. If it keeps running, the idle adjustment is open too far. If it dies very quick, it's not open far enough.
