Hi! My name is Joseph a.k.a. JoBoOtSdEfAyGo but yall can call me BOOTS for short if ya like. I am new to this website and am very glad that I found it and joined up. I currently own a 1997 F-150 XLT w/ the 4.6L Triton V-8. It's been a wonderful truck as well as the first and only vehicle I have ever driven. Right now, I am in the process of trying to buy a new vehicle and it's a tough choice between the 2008 Shelby GT 500 and the 2008 F-450 SuperDuty. Once I do purchase my new vehicle, I will begin turning my '97 F-150 into a Sleeper! I do not have much experience in the mechanics but am ready and willing to learn. I figured this would be a good way to start. Good luck to all of you out there on your current and future projects.
Grab a seat and enjoy the site! Between all the information that is here in FTE, the State Chapters for your local scene, and the amount of sponsors FTE has, you will have plenty of stuff to look through and get help on anything you can think of!
Wow! That is a hard choice. I'm assuming you will get the F450 because you must need a hard worker if you are looking at a rig that big. I'd at least go test drive the GT though
When you start working on your sleeper, take lots of pictures and put them in your gallery and keep us informed on your project
Feel free to ask questions in the tech forums and enjoy the site!
Appreciate it! There is a ton of information here. And I definately plan on posting pics of my progress, especially a before and after type thing. Haha, it isnt that I necessarily need such a big rig, the way I look at it, Im a big guy so I need a big truck. But the GT500 is something I've always wanted to get my hands on and have as play toy. See you in the other Forum Subjects!
