Pyro is in the exhaust side, it would damage the turbine blade and go on out the exhaust. Compressor side damage come from the filter or a cracked intake tube letting in unfiltered air.
Bill, I can't see anything going through that side of the turbo and locking up the engine. I guess it could happen, I would think that would have demolished your turbo completely. The Hydro locking sounds like a better possiblity. I wish I could help with that. I have read about others having that problem, just don't know how to fix it. Someone will know.
Took the batteries and had them tested as well as the altenator today. All 3 tested good.
I replaced the batteries anyway and still have the same problem.
It very well could be hydrolocked I'm just not sure how to fix that.
After the turbo is fixed remove the valve covers and glow plugs, then take a suction gun and suck through each glow plug hole. That will tell you which cylinder is hydrolocked.
