Body Height
The front coils had been replaced prior to me acquiring the truck and it "appears" the vehicle is lowered, but not much. The coils themselves had been cut but given the way they seat within the mounts this isnt' the problem.
Does anyone have thoughts on how to determine the culprit causing the height variance?
Shocks, all around, are new overload shocks installed recently and the rear mounting points appear original as are the leaf springs.
Appreciate any and all feedback
Have a good one

note the above dilema and given no postsand insights I went back under the truck.(sounds like a horror movie title)
Anyway, I had previously attempted to put "stock" coils in to replace the ones that were on the truck when I purchased it two years ago.
Now I've seen post that indicated the coil spring on the drivers side is a bit longer. When I paired up the ones I had taken off, one was in fact longer than the other, so, i put it on the drivers side.
mmmm,
The coils comming off had been cut down by a previous owner and in the end the longer one went on the passenger side.
Now she's about a 1/2 inch or so off which is marginal at best and much better than before.(one and a half inches off.
so, MARK you parts when removing to ensure they go back correctly.
Gosh, I'm learning more than I ever wanted to know about a 66 slick in this trucks rehab.
good day to one and all
