I am just about ready to lower my '67 f250 cab on to my '71 f350 frame. While removing the two rear cab mounts on the '67 it occured to me that the mounting points are much closer "in board" than on the f350. The f350 has perches welded outside of the frame rails. Where as the f250 mounts on the cross member that the carrier bearing is mounted on..My '70 f100 mounts the same way as the '67. Apparently the wider mounting points is a "one ton" thing. I guess I'll drill a couple of extra holes. I am wondering what the reasoning behind all this is? Hopefully it all works...It's gonna have to. I just took apart one of my favorite trucks.
Thanks for the reply,FBp. It worked out very well. Like you said the indents were right where I needed them. Dummy-Proof. I love the stance of the Dually f350. Its just a cab-chassis right now but it looks really tough. I'll get some pic's as soon as I get the front clip bolted back on.
