Does anyone know where to get new hood insulation for a decent price? Mine's chewed up from a serpentine belt failure, and now it's soaked with transmission fluid from a cooler line that popped loose a couple of weeks ago. If they're not a lot, I'd just like to replace it.
Try LMC, they have an online catalog, seems like the replacement is about $40, the retainer washers and pins are also available. I haven't ordered one yet, if you do, let us know how it works out. I jusdt have other priorities right now.
I've heard that guys have had better results with aftermarket sound deadners. Someone posted a link to some very economical aftermarket alternatives, they said the truck was twice as quite
What? RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR What? Think about not putting it in best way to get your wife or girlfriend off the phone. Sometimes noise is better than NOISE. LOL!

How do I access LMC. Had trouble finding them on line. I too need new insulation for hood on my 93 F-250
I need a new hood insulator for my 93 F250. I was directed to lmctruck.com where they have one for $39.95. Has anyone bought one and what do you think of it as far as quality and fit. I don't really want to spend $199.95 for the moulded one unless it is absolutely necessary. Someone posted about making a hood blanket out of marine engine cover material. Any suggestions. Thanks. Tom
So did any of you buy and install a new hood insulation kit? How'd it turn out? Are you guys talking about installing a Dynamat kit as far as aftermarket kits are concerned?
Mine is falling apart and half of the retaining clips are missing. Chunks of the hood insulation are showing up in my air filter. Unacceptable.
Damn, yet another part I have to replace on our junker? I have nothing under the hood, didn't even know anything was supposed to go there until I met this forum
i just got new clips for mine from ford. they were like $1.50 a piece. im gonna go hushmat inside and out, and install a heat shield over that on the inside. one thing that SUCKS about lmc is they dont have anything for the crew cab. i got their parts mag, looked for rear door window seals, nothing. rear door gaskets, nothing. rear door panels, nothing!

I need all that stuff too. Ain't the rear doors and windows the same as the front ones? They sure look like it to me on my 93.
