I saw this comeing home from the World of Wheels the other day. Is it a conversion or factory? I like it, almost like a 4 door Bronce I guess.

It is a CONVERSION from Centurian Conversions in Michigan. You might call it a prototype for the Excursion. It is a F Series Crew cab with a Bronco Rear! The chassis is a F Series Crewcab SWB.

You go to their website, you might still see the gallery of it. BUT I could not be positive about that. MHPO.

EDIT!
Southern Comfort Corp bought them in 2002, The gallery is gone but!!! There is a few photos of the truck on other sites!

I seen these in the 1980-1987 body style in Tucson, AZ. Those trucks had Mexico liscense plates. They also lacked Centurion tags anywhere, so that leads me to believe that Ford made these and sold them in Mexico as a precursor or something to US sales, and it never happened. Thats just a guess, so if anyone has any real ford history on it, I would love to hear about it. If this story is true, you'd think Ford would've sold them in US to compete with Suburban, which I believe was all alone in the full size market in that time period. Internationa Harvester Travel all folded up before the '80s. anyone?

These are a conversion as stated above . Sold through some Ford dealers not made by Ford (well the 4 door part.) You Could get them 1/2 ton ,3/4 ton/ 1ton chassie. The My father had one new in 87.I got literature in the mountian of stuff stored in garage. Just had sticker to tell ""centurion "" . Came off soon after. After that they went to custom stickers piant on most. They also made 1/2 ton F150 crewcabs as well as converson 1/2 (seats paint ect.), 3/4 & 1 ton Crewcabs crewcab+excab , Ones with limo strech in between doors,6 door ,you name it. Im in search of a 1/2 ton Crew right now . Know of 12 but the nice ones aren't selling.

I first saw one of those back in the late 80's. I had an 86 Bronco and passed one of those on the road and wondered what the hell it was.

Ice man, you should have left a note on his window telling him to join FTE! lol

I think it would look awesome if the cap was taken off. You would have that curve to the bed.
