Hey All,
I was parusing all the old posts, but didnt really answer my question. The EB I bought has pushbutton 4x4 with the auto hubs, and seems that everyone says these are crap. We got the first nice schlacking of snow and ice up here in MA today, and my bronco is due to show in a matter of days. The general concensus says manual hubs are the way to go... Can i get manual hubs for this? Would that negate the pushbutton, or would i just have to engage the hubs, then press my 'lazy mans 4x4' button to get it to work? Thanks in advance
Rich
Yes, you'd just have to lock the hubs first. It would also allow you to use low-range on-road in 2WD by NOT locking the hubs, which is really useful sometimes. You'll need to get the earlier-style bearing nuts in addition to your choice of quality hub locks. I use MileMarkers.
