2001 Sport ??? Overflow Tube ???

Hi All,
I have a 2001 explorer sport with the 4.0L . I live in upstate NY. This morning I started the car, then left, but had to come back as I forgot something. We're in the middle of huge Nor'easter right now, and the driveway is full of snow, so I parked in the road, and ran into the house. On my way back to the car, I walked by where I had it parked before leaving. I noticed a green, coolant looking spot in the driveway about 3-4" around. I was dumbfounded because the position of the spot under the car, looked like it had to have come from the transmission area. It wasn't a big spot, and the car wasn't overheating, I had plenty of heat, everything was normal. When I returned, I backed into the driveway through about 10 inches of snow. There was a little green in the snow I scraped over with the bottom of the car. After a little while of shoveling around the car, I crawled underneath, and took a peek. The only place, I can see anything would have came from, is possibly a little overflow looking tube on the drivers side of the oil pan.
My question is this, Are any of you fine folks familiar with this tube, where does is come from, and why would it leak anything.

I did try to search for similar posts, with a similar problem, I was unsuccessful though.

Thank you all so much for taking the time read my post. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated.
T.

The only thing I can think of is your heater core is leaking, and coolant is coming out the condensate drain for the A/C evaporator coil. Most drains are on the passenger side tho, so this may not be your problem.

That overflow tube you see is part of the transmission IIRC.

Check your heater core like Steina suggested and also check the hoses, radiator and freeze plugs.

My radiator leaks at the end tanks until the truck warms up but I will be replacing it under the radiator's warranty. Something to check though.
