Aftermarket Backup Sensor?

Hey y'all,

I just joined the club and traded my Jeep on an '05 F250 FX4 Sport SuperCab 6.0 PSD. It is AWESOME.

I did not realize when I was buying that this one that it did not have the backup sensor like the 06 sports and Lariats. I live in the city and have got to have one and there sure are a lot of choices.

Does anyone have any recommendations for 3rd party backup sensors? Some of them look like a dang radar system!

They have some decent reversing sensor systems out there, but I have only installed a few of the factory one's so I can't compare the units, but I imagine the install's are the same. I've heard good things about the camera's too and am considering one for myself in the spring. If you go for a camera system, think carefully about placement. A lot of people don't realize that the camera's position is important and having the right angle is critical to meeting your objective as to what you want to see in the screen. I would prefer to see how close I am to an object directly behind me, so I am going to opt for the camera to be mounted somewhere above the bumper level so it looks down a bit. That's personal preference though.

I installed a kit from reversebackupsensors.com the P-1507 great & easy install. Kit comes with everything including a holesaw to brill the holes for the sensors. It is a good holesaw, it can drill thru a chromeplated steel rear bumper 4 times easily.

I've got the factory setup, but I'm still going to get a camera system. I want the type that can take 2 cameras(one for the 5'er). Something to keep in mind if you tow....Brian
