I've been noticing that my drain valve has a slight leak to it and i plan on buying a new valve with the o-rings and was just curious if anyone put a new valve in there and how easy was it to do.
you made that look easy ron lol.little harder w f-350 ya need a small ladder when i changed mine i bought the whole valve 63 dollars at stealer(dealer) cause mine was leaking in the valley and down the drain tube so i thought it was more than just o-rings
pretty straight forward fix, but man those 4 hex screws can be a pain to get out. took me longer then 15 mins to fix the whole thing thats for sure. more like and hour and half unless your hands are the size of a 6 year olds.
I'd do just the o ring first. If that don't fix it then the valve. Clean the valve good before reinstalling. Mine had some yellow stuff that looked about like paint but may have been some type of dry grease, was easy to clean.

these are not my instructions..but they are what I used to fix mine..my truck is also a F350..I have a behind the front bumper hitch that my licence plate sits into..I welded up a step with a 4 inch square stock to fit into it...I slide my licence plate out and slide my step in..it works great...I'm right at the perfect height for working under the hood..
