Either with a code reader or disconnect the battery negative cable for 10 minutes. The code reader path will not effect the truck. The battery path will cause the truck to re-learn the fuel tables, etc. and it may run a little rough until the ECM re-learns.

If you don't want to have to reprogram your radio, just locate and pull the sincle fuse listed for PCM Keep-Alive Memory (KAM). Leave the fuse out for 10-15 minutes with the ignition OFF, then reinstall. Observe the drivability notice in your owners manual regarding PCM resets.

Disconnect the battery, but I'm worried your problem may still exist. If the shop couldnt clear it either they only have a generic code reader or they dont know what they are doing. Some DTCs take up to 3 consecutive test passes to clear and the MIL goes away. But the tricky part is that in order for the test to run certain criteria must be met.... and you may not be meeting that criteria, its complicated. Just try doing the battery for now.
