Hey how's it going yall?
I need to get a spare key and the keyless entre remote for my 98 expedition XLT where can I get them and how do I program them to work with my truckI know people say it easy but have not anything about it.

You can buy the keyless entry remote off of eBay. When mine went out, I used an extra from the '99 we sold. If you have the owner's manual that came with the car it'll tell you how to reprogram the remote. If you don't, I'll look it up for you and tell you how to do it.
However, for the actual key, it's not as simple as going to Lowe's and making a copy. We did that and it got stuck in the ignition (because of the chip) a few years back. I'm sure somebody else will have some more knowledge on the actual Key, as I do not know.

There is a guy who sells the blank key on ebay with chip installed. Get that, go to home depot and have the key cut, then follow the directions he sends with the key on how to program it. You will need a key that works to program the chip in the new key.

I just went thru this a few weeks ago. I bought the blank with chip in it for 10.99 on E bay, then got a locksmith to cut it, then programmed it as per instructions in the manual. However you must have two keys already working in order to program a third. This is also stated in the manual. If you don't already have two, then you must get your dealer to do it at a much higher cost.
